Meet Natalie, RN-BSN
Meet Natalie, the owner and operator of The Colorado Collective RN. Natalie attended Colorado Mesa University for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN, BSN) and built the foundation of her expertise while working on a Medical/Surgical floor for 2 years. Natalie then expanded her expertise in the nursing field with a year as a nurse in the Operating Room. Natalie is a student of Functional Nurse Academy and aspires to eventually pursue a Masters Degree in Holistic Nursing and Education.
Natalie noticed throughout her diverse experiences as an RN that there is a serious growing need for care of people outside of the hospital. Although working with incredible members of the healthcare team and growing as a nurse from giving acute care to patients in crisis, it was increasingly evident that the patients were not given the full scope of care that they so deserved- especially time. Natalie dreamt of a way to help people in the community in ways that nurses are taught at the core and that is a center of the nurse's role; by viewing each individual under a personalized and holistic lens, by giving them the time that our system cannot to fully dive into all aspects of their health, and to help educate and support the community in the way they haven't been before. And so, The Colorado Collective RN was born.
The Colorado Collective RN aspires to give people the time, the holistic tools, and the education to support positive changes in their life and their health. "Colorado" stands for Natalie's home base, a place where the mountains and sun rise high and locals value full lives lived outdoors. "Collective" represents the collective team that it takes to care for people in a community, and the collaboration needed from a team to care for people in every realm of life (from acute care to long term support). And "RN" is Registered Nurse; the background that Natalie has grown and learned from, and ultimately aims to use in support of her clients. Registered Nurses are the eyes and ears of their patients, and play huge roles in patient advocacy and education. These are all aspects of nursing that Natalie thrives on and aims to support all clients with. Natalie combines this training in conventional care as an RN with her functional medicine training, to support clients holistically in their pursuit of a full and healthy life.
